Snowy London

02/02/2009.

For those who are currently sweltering in the Australian heat, it may be hard to believe, but it started snowing here last night. We watched a large weather front move in from the East on Saturday afternoon, and it started to snow about dinner time last night.

This was the view from our bedroom window last night...

Then this morning we awoke to a blanket of snow covering everything in sight...

Hoardes of Londoners dusted off sleighs and toboggans to come and play in the snow

Shannon was 'snowed in' and scored a day off work. The snow brought Londons trains and buses to a halt, and subsequently most of London shut down for the day.
